UK MSP responds to rising industry demands for safe and secure cloud management amidst Covid-19 uncertainty.
London, UK, Monday 25th January, 2021 – UK-based secure cloud service provider, Six Degrees, has today announced that it has become a Microsoft Azure Expert MSP. Six Degrees is one of only eight UK organisations to be awarded this accreditation.
Six Degrees also has an Azure-aligned UK onshore Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), enabling customers to enhance their cyber maturity by identifying and addressing cyber threats – fast.
With the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the widespread adoption of remote working, and consequently an acceleration in cloud adoption, it’s unsurprising that the global public cloud infrastructure market is predicted to grow 35% to £88 billion ($120 billion) this year. However, this hasn’t come without its challenges. 2020 saw the rise and amplification of cyber-attacks, with threat actors trying to capitalise on the vulnerabilities that emerged from the shift to new ways of working. With the uncertainty around the business impact of the pandemic continuing into 2021, remaining agile and getting security right first time have never been so important.
This is why Six Degrees is today also launching its new Beyond Cloud proposition, giving customers flexible, secure services so they can look beyond the day-to-day and focus on the future of their organisations. With its broad scope of secure services, the new Microsoft Azure Expert MSP status and a new Managed Detection and Response service enabled by the Cyber Security Operations Centre, Six Degrees can now offer an unrivalled coupling of managed services with high-caliber security expertise to UK businesses.
David Howson, CEO, Six Degrees, said: “At Six Degrees we work towards a single objective: enabling our clients to achieve competitive advantage by harnessing the enormous potential of the cloud. Being a Microsoft Azure Expert MSP means more to us than just a partner status. We believe in the transformational power of Azure, and we have aligned every aspect of our business to creating secure, flexible cloud solutions that take our clients to the next level.
“This new status also coincides with our new Beyond Cloud proposition. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact across all industries, and while there is no one-size-fits-all approach in how to support organisations there are common priorities that remain: efficiency, resiliency, and growth. By offering a combination of some of the best solutions, experts, and secure managed services available today, we hope to empower our customers to not just keep the lights on, but thrive in 2021.”
James Chadwick, Interim General Manager – Commercial Partner, Microsoft, said: “We welcome Six Degrees to the Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) program after passing the qualifying process and we look forward to continuing to work together on delivering innovative solutions to our customers.”
