Our Employee Benefits

Additional Rewards

As an extra reward we give you the equivalent of one day’s pay to enable you to purchase additional benefits. This is called your Flex Pot, and it can be used towards benefits including dental insurance, travel insurance, critical illness insurance, a healthcare cash plan, will writing, and digital retail vouchers.

You also get access to a Six Degrees online discount portal with many well-known brands, restaurants and supermarkets included, which you can share with your friends and family!

Life Assurance

Upon joining Six Degrees you are automatically covered for Group Life Assurance of four times your basic salary. You will have the opportunity to increase this up to 10 times when you first join.

Family Friendly Entitlements

We offer enhanced maternity, adoption and shared parental leave entitlements. Depending on your length of service, this covers offers up to 100% full pay for the first 26 weeks. We also offer up to five additional ‘baby days’ on top of our enhanced paternity leave of two weeks at 100% pay.

Pension

Planning for the future is important, so we offer an enhanced workplace pension scheme with Scottish Widows.

Your Health and Wellbeing

Company-funded private medical insurance with Vitality, which rewards you with great discounts for staying active and healthy.

A free annual eye test, along with £49 towards glasses regardless of prescription.

We partner with Health Assured to give you and your family members access to a 24-hour confidential employee assistance programme to support you with financial worries, bereavement, anxiety issues and more.

Annual Leave and Special Leave Entitlements

We offer a generous holiday entitlement of up to 25days, plus an additional day off for your birthday, a half-day for Christmas and a day off for your wedding or civil partnership. In addition, you also have the opportunity to purchase or sell up to four days. Our Special Leave policy supports you in achieving a successful work life balance. We offer time off for time off for dependents, menopause leave, fertility treatment leave, time off for pregnancy bereavement and sabbaticals.

The 360 Team is formed of people from across Six Degrees. The team focuses on three key areas: Including Everyone, Everywhere; For the Benefit of Others; and Our Place of Work. The 360 Team generates ideas on how we can raise awareness and celebrate these key areas, and works with the wider business to turn them from concepts into reality.

Future Frontiers

We work with Future Frontiers, an award-winning education and social-mobility charity. A number of Six Degrees employees work with partner schools, delivering face-to-face career coaching that helps ensure young people from disadvantaged backgrounds fulfil their potential at school and when transitioning to education, employment or training at ages 16 to 18.

Gender Pay

Apprentices and Training

We offer apprenticeships and training to help people take the next steps in their career. Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes open to existing and future staff of all ages and abilities, and through tailored training can bring real business benefits.
