Switched on Birmingham – understanding the impact that 5G and other technological advances will have on businesses in the region

The West Midlands is set for a cataclysmic transformation. Not only has it been selected for the Commonwealth games, City of Culture, and HS2, it has also been selected to become home to the UK’s first multi-city 5G testbed, which has the potential to be a major catalyst for growth in the region.

As a gateway to IoT, 5G is set to disrupt and remould the landscape in which we live and do business – boosting efficiency, driving productivity, and ultimately connecting us better. As the home to the UK’s first multi-city 5G test bed, this will unlock the opportunity for Birmingham to become the UK’s first smart city and a world leader in the testing and development of digital infrastructure.

Join us at Insider Media’s breakfast briefing, which will look at the huge opportunities that 5G and other technical advances mean for business and development. You’ll get the chance to hear and question decision-makers on what this brave new world could mean for your business and the developing City skyline.
– What industries and sectors will be created?
– What impact will it have on sectors from creative and retail to manufacturing and professional services?
– What does it mean in terms of property development?
– What new skills will be needed to meet the huge opportunities?
