Six Degrees is delighted to have made the Hidden Heroes shortlist with our long-standing charity partner, WeSeeHope, at this year’s Comms Business Awards!

The Comms Business Awards bring together guests from the Comms, IT and Mobile Channel to reward talent across the tech industry. The Hidden Heroes award recognises people and companies in the Channel who have given, and continue to give, their time to raising money for good charitable causes.

Six Degrees fundraises for the charity WeSeeHope through our bespoke Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Six Degrees of Hope. WeSeeHope supports orphans and other vulnerable children living in extreme poverty in Southern and Eastern Africa, working with 26 local project partners in 222 communities to restore, protect, educate and equip these children sustainably.

In order to help WeSeeHope and their project partners change the lives of as many children and young people as possible, Six Degrees participates in and organises fundraising events throughout the year, matching every penny that is raised.  These range from large and well-publicised events such as annual golf days, ski trips and pub quizzes for suppliers, partners and employees, to smaller, in-house fundraisers such as office raffles, pool tournaments and bakes sales. Six Degrees also encourages individuals to take part in external events, including marathons, hikes and bike rides.

Six Degrees of Hope has also been shortlisted at the 2016 Better Society Awards and the HR Excellence Awards.

The Comms Business Awards ceremony will take place on the 16th June at the Lancaster London Hotel.
