Six Degrees Achieves ISO27001 Information Security Management Certification

Six Degrees today announces that it has achieved ISO27001 Information Security Management Certification.

LONDON – 30th July 2012 – Six Degrees today announces that it has achieved ISO27001 Information Security Management Certification. ISO27001 is an international certification that ensures that Six Degrees’ core platforms (datacentres and networks), billing, data management, fulfilment and support meet the standards for information security.

Driven by privacy concerns, compliance demands and regulatory burdens, information security is a critical factor for all companies and an essential part of the vendor selection process. For businesses in the financial and legal sectors, or those that deal with sensitive consumer data, information security is not only desirable but also a legal requirement.

Mainstream enterprises are facing increasing pressures due to mobility, “bring your own device” trends and the need for offsite storage for backup and disaster recovery, all of which has driven demand for centralised hosting and cloud services. ISO27001 certification gives customers the assurance that Six Degrees will keep their data safe whilst enabling new working practices.

Six Degrees is ISO 27001 Certified

The top three concerns customers have with hosting services are privacy, security and sovereignty. This achievement will help to allay these concerns. Our customers know that the integrity of their data is our top priority. Consequently, we only deploy secure private cloud services with their data housed in UK-based datacentres that are ISO27001 certified.
