Virtual Private Cloud

Six Degrees Group designs virtual private cloud solutions designed to meet the specific needs of each customer, all built on our in-house multi-tenant dual-zone cloud platform. The principles of virtual private cloud (VPC) are the same as our virtual private network (VPN) connectivity solutions. Our VPN customers all “share” the same MPLS core network with a portion being dedicated for their own private use (in this case, the tail circuits). Likewise, VPC customers “share” the core cloud platform but the virtual machines they use are dedicated for their own private use.

Our VPC solutions are delivered as a managed cloud service for customers who are looking for managed hosting. This means that 6DG provides the physical hardware that makes up the multi-tenanted platform and we provide capacity planning, 24/7 monitoring and load balancing as part of the service. We also provide high availability configuration, backup and disaster recovery as standard.

All of our hosting and cloud services are supported with a suite of additional modules that provide additional functionality and incremental security/backup features to augment the core VPC solution. In addition, our VPC customers have access to additional on-demand capacity for web or applications hosting via our hybrid cloud.
